The Apple Pay Team is looking for an Engineering Project Manager to support our cross functional teams to ensure timelines and the delivery of work for new and enhanced features to Apple Pay. The candidate should have a passion for operations, global payments, customer (internal and external) experiences and have a background in program management and/or third party partner relations.

As an Engineering Project Manager you will be responsible for balancing multiple projects at once, coordinating and managing large cross functional teams as well as internal and external resources to execute and deliver on exciting and innovative payment programs. A successful candidate would create a well structured process and utilize a strong technical background as well as be flexible to prioritize and problem solve.

Key Qualifications

  • Prior work experience in program management, operations, vendor / third party support management, new product/program introduction, and payment integration preferably with a large corporation
  • Real passion for user-focused design & high quality technology!
  • Comfortable and adaptable in a dynamic and informal environment, and able to respond to changing priorities quickly and expertly
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and follow through deadlines/projects simultaneously under minimal supervision
  • Outstanding business communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to build rapport with people inside and outside the organization
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities coupled with good business insight
  • Sensitive to cultural differences in country/region of coverage

Description

The Engineering Project Manager is responsible for ensuring efficient hand off of work, timelines and status updates between cross functional teams, as well as defining new processes and streamlining workflows. The Engineering Project Manager's responsibilities also include but are not limited to new product/program readiness, suppliers' overall performance analysis, and business impact analysis/recommendations.
- Manage multiple projects, including communication and project planning process
- Identify project timeframes, achievements, partners and resources
- Present and communicate status and reports to leadership
- Drive actions to improve performance and analyze system performance and business impact proposals
- Work with external partners to escalate and resolve any non-compliance issues resulting from updates or audits
- Participate in additional Apple Pay team initiatives and projects
- Facilitate cross functional team discussions to establish and carry out Apple Pay requirements in design, manufacturing, integration selection, and expansion decisions
- Partner with internal business partners such as Program Management, Training & Development, etc., providing information as needed
- Evaluate the experience from the end customers point of view
- Educate Apple personnel in Apple Pay program, practices and standards

Education & Experience

BA/BS degree desired
