Apple's Engineering Program Management Team is looking for a resourceful, energetic Engineering Project Specialist (EPS) to join the Apple Watch Team. In this role, you will own structuring BOMs, ECOs and Material Management across several simultaneous projects while working in a fast-paced environment as the single point of contact for several cross-functional teams. The preferred candidate is a detail oriented organizer with excellent critical thinking skills who can prioritize issues and track details to setup and support associated with engineering builds

Key Qualifications

  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously (e.g. bands, single-run accessories and special programs)
  • Build relationships with key partners to foster deep collaboration leading up-to, during, and after every project
  • Prioritize, and maintain large quantities of data
  • Create Purchase Requisitions (PRs) through PO approval on eApproval
  • Manage multiple POs through invoice tracking, Balance, and Goods Receipt
  • Create and drive Allocation Databases for every build
  • Create, and process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
  • Manufacturer Change Orders (MCOs) and Deviations
  • Create Bill of Materials (BOMs), part numbers, and archive related technical documentation across multiple simultaneous programs including, but not limited to, bands, chargers, and other miscellaneous accessories
  • Production release all parts, drawings, etc. across multiple simultaneous programs including, but not limited to, bands, chargers, and other miscellaneous accessories
  • Coordinate and distribute cross-functional prototype requests
  • Manage unapproved allocation requests by seeking detailed justifications from the requestors; work closely with EPMs for approvals
  • Work closely with EPMs to maintain accurate build schedules, tooling and material availability
  • Attend meetings with cross functional partners (e.g. PD, EE)
  • Be available for any last minute requests, meetings, or cross-functional quick syncs
  • Demonstrate commitment to delivering quality support to Engineering teams and cross-functional partners
  • React to program resets and changes in a time sensitive environment
  • Be the main resource for build support needs
  • Attend routine staff meetings and bi-weekly 1:1s with manager

Description

You have experience with Procurement, PRQs, Allocation, good structured BOM experience preferably in AGILE/Nimbus
You have strong Presentation and Database analysis including Visual Basic experience
Understand configuration management and BOM structuring
Excellent communication both written and verbal using MS Excel to drive what needs to be communicated
The team operates at the pace of a start-up

We are a team motivated by challenges and have good skills to solve problems and we have good conflict resolution skills
Does your general understanding of custom fabrication, MLB, and electrical components rise above most?
Working closely with project leads, the program manager partitions tasks into a work breakdown structure, identifies key achievements, test schedules, and regulatory requirements
You are highly organized and live in the details
You thrive as a participate in planning strategy, identifying issues and actions, and communicating program information at the appropriate levels and time

Education & Experience

BA/BS degree and 4+ years of industry experience
