Job Description

Server Debug Enabling Solutions within Intel Validation Engineering group of Intel is looking for a seasoned Validation leader for enabling and driving debug enabling for its next-gen Xeon products.

Role and Responsibilities of Engineering Manager will be, but not limited to:

  • Functionally and directly manage a global team of experts on debug enabling solutions, who will work closely across Silicon Validation teams within iVE and other partner teams within Intel
  • Lead a team for enabling debug and delivering high-quality debug solutions on Server platforms to meet the debug throughput goal of customers.
  • Establish close partnership with validation teams to derive customer usages, pain-points and challenges in debug solutions and work with debug architects and development teams to derive solutions.
  • Drive adoption of Intel Debug strategies as required. Engage and work closely with managers and architects of Debug and Debug related technologies.
  • Steer our engineering teams with consistent priorities, and clearly communicate status on project commitments to top management
  • Collaborate with IP, HW, Pre-Silicon and Software Engineering teams of Data Center in terms of driving continuous improvement in debug enabling methodologies.
  • Manage complex programs of global scope and impact through all phases of product life cycles

The ideal candidate must demonstrate history of success in:

  • Working with cross geo teams and deliver high complexity programs
  • Persistence to deal with a high degree of ambiguity and drive clarity in key areas
  • Quickly learn enough depth on new products/technologies to support strategic discussions and to set direction
  • Building partnerships with design, validation and business units
  • Technical, strategic and business acumen, organization savvy, networking capabilities across multiple groups and disciplines
  • High focus on discipline in execution, a relentless pursuit of quality and excellent customer orientation


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering (or a related field) and 9+ years of experience -OR- Master's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering (or a related field) and 6+ years of experience -OR- PhD and 4+ years of experience in the following:

  • Management and leadership of Xeon CPU and/or chipset validation
  • Bachelor's with 10+ years of experience or Master's with 5+ years of experience in management and leadership of Xeon CPU and/or chipset validation
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in managing validation for high complexity projects is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience of building post-silicon validation teams and establishing methodologies
