The RMD Engineering Cross Product team encompasses all system engineering aspects of the Engineering V throughout the product lifecycle. We are responsible for defining systems of systems, sensors, effectors, and command & control and integrating subsystems and products to deliver and sustain the industrys most advanced end-to-end solutions.
The Whole Life Engineering (WLE) team proactively seeks and applies innovative, customer - focused solutions for superior mission support and system analysis from concept to disposal for new and legacy, domestic and international programs.
The WLE team is comprised of product support, which includes the following disciplines: Reliability, System Safety, Life Cycle, and Supportability.
The Engineering Intelligence Analysis (EIA) Team, residing within the Missile Reliability Department, provides support to Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) programs by pursuing synergies between the technical disciplines. This provides affordable, innovative, and effective customer solutions.
The department will provide the foundation for timely delivery of actionable data to our program customers, in addition to supporting the Engineering function by developing and/or maintaining software tools utilized for analysis and tracking.
We are looking for an Engineering Intelligence Analyst II to join our Reliability team, located in Tucson, AZ
Key Responsibilities (essential Functions):
Interpret data and analyze results using advanced statistical techniques
Deploy automated solutions for process improvement
Regularly interact with Engineering, Quality & Mission Assurance, Supply Chain, and Program Management for 'best-in-class" solutions
Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs
Lead/participate in cross functional projects and initiatives
Run and lead Failure Review Boards (FRB) and/or Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action (FRACA) activities
Well versed in Information Technologies (IT) and Intellectual Property (IP) issues
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
Required Skills, Education, and Experience:
US Citizenship
Bachelors Degree in engineering disciplines, natural or physical sciences, mathematics, or physics
Two (2) years experience in statistics
Expertise in MS Office Products
Working knowledge of statistics and statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, Python, PowerBI, R, Tableau, JMP, Kinaxis, etc.)
Understand basic principles and concepts of information management
Desired Skills:
Four (4) years experience in reliability or statistics
Basic understanding of reliability principles
Knowledge or experience with SAP and PRISM or similar database systems
General understanding of requirements, specifications, and regulations
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience working on/leading a team
Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to develop solutions to routine technical problems
Self-motivated and detail-oriented; ability to perform in fast paced, deadline driven environments with constantly changing priorities
Strong and effective organizational skills with ability prioritize tasks; ability to respond efficiently and effectively to time-critical issues
Ability to follow defined processes, in compliance with regulations
