Job Description

WHO WE ARE:

We are Intels Validation Engineering iVE Group. As an Engineer Technician within the Fort Collins Validation Lab, you will participate in many innovative projects, and apply your expertise in a fast paced technically driven environment. We work with remote development and validation teams for debug and system configuration, so an understanding and willingness to work with a remote workforce model is vital.

WHAT YOULL BE DOING:

You'll be responsible for highly technical functional tasks in support of a variety of validation engineering activities.

  • Collaborating with Engineering Teams on cutting edge product development, troubleshooting and data collection in a socially distanced environment.

  • Building, configuring, and testing server validation platforms.

  • Installation of various PC operating system and software applications.

  • Configuration and operation of industry standard test and measurement equipment for debug and data collection.

  • Installation and configuration of network KVMs and power distribution units.

  • Assembly of non-technical fixtures such as test benches and liquid cooled thermal tools.

 


Qualifications

Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
An Associate degree with 3 or more years work experience in installation, troubleshooting and diagnosis of issues in a Windows and Linux OS environment

OR

A minimum of 6 years' industry work experience in the same installation, troubleshooting and diagnosis of issues in a Windows and Linux OS environment.

In addition to the following:

  • 3+ years work experience with PC and server peripherals

  • Knowledge of general validation and automation principles, as well as computer architecture

  • Knowledge of CPU and Motherboard interfaces such as: Ethernet, USB, PCIe, Memory, and others

Must be willing to do the following:

  • Work in a lab environment adhering to, ensuring, and defining best practices and processes

  • Perform occasional lifting of between 20 to 30lbs above waist

  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and tidiness of lab and workspace.

  • Work occasional, mandatory off shift hours and overtime as necessary

  • Work and participate in weekly or bi-weekly cross-site teams

  • Wear closed toe shoes for the duration of shift.

  • Walk 3-5 miles and stand and/or sit for up to 9 hours within a shift, with occasional kneeling.

  • Push carts for a distance of at least 500 m.

  • Climb and perform work on ladders or at heights.

  • Occasional travel is necessary for training

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of CPU and Motherboard interfaces such as: Ethernet, USB, PCIe, Memory, etc...

  • Knowledge of server architecture

  • Prior experience working in server CPU validation

  • Background in electrical component debug

  • Scripting experience in Python or similar

  • Fine pitch Soldering/Detailed Rework experience a plus, but not necessary

  • Experience with test and measurement equipment

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$57,000.00-$85,400.00 (Hourly Role)
