Engineer 3, Software Development & Engineering – Comcast Cable Communications, LLC, Wayne, PA.
Contribute to teams responsible for designing, developing, and supporting advertising sales-related IT systems and applications for the company’s Spotlight Platform Engineering Group’s (SPEG’s) engineering services; use relational databases, JavaScript, JQuery, Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, HTML5, CSS, REST/SOAP APIs, and AngularJS to design and develop software applications; utilize continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) and DevOps methodologies to collaborate with other teams; ensure deployment documentation is created and that the project has followed the proper steps and deliverables of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) prior to deployment; groom stories for future development; ensure all features are thoroughly tested and debugged in a test environment prior to deployment into production; utilize Test-Driven Development (TDD) to automate unit integration and end-to-end testing; work with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that applications fit specification and technical requirements; analyze and troubleshoot production issues and code deployment activity; and research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field, and two (2) years of experience using relational databases, JavaScript, JQuery, Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, HTML5, CSS, REST/SOAP APIs, and AngularJS to design and develop software applications; and utilizing TDD, CI/CD, and DevOps methodologies.
