Apple is looking for a Employee Relations Consultant who will conduct complex workplace investigations and serve as an expert-level consultant, advisor and practitioner on ER issues and projects across Apple and to all levels of the organization. To meet these objectives, the ERC will partner closely with the People Business Partner (PBP) organization, management, Employee Relations Business Partners and the Employment Legal team in working ER issues. This particular ERC will additionally serve as a consultant/advisor and liaison to Apple's Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) team

Key Qualifications

  • 10+ Years experience including conducting complex workplace investigations, human resources, ER consulting or related experience.
  • Experience with Inclusion & Diversity programs within a business environment.
  • Experienced senior level professional with a proven full understanding of employee relations.
  • Extensive experience including conducting complex workplace investigations, human resources, ER consulting or related experience.
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal employment law and regulations.
  • Experience with Inclusion & Diversity programs within a business environment.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships and work effectively with others.
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to present information and influence decisions.
  • Ability to employ high levels of discretion.
  • Ability to prioritize and exhibit exceptional integrity, confidentiality and privacy.

Description

Identifies, analyzes and implements resolutions to complex and highly sensitive ER issues, including unusual situations where precedents for resolution are unavailable.
Conducts complex workplace investigations into potential employee misconduct originating from various Apple departments including the People organization, Business Conduct, Inclusion & Diversity, Legal, Global Security, Business Assurance & Audit and other departments.
Provides partnership and counsel to PBPs who support Apple's lines of business on ER issues. Includes collaborating with and advising PBPs with respect to business terminations, restructuring activities and other ER aspects of organizational planning.
Works closely with Legal counsel to investigate and assist with responses to agency charges and attorney demand letters.
Interprets Apple's workplace policies as needed to ensure consistent understanding and application across the company.
Represents Employee Relations on project teams, company initiatives, etc.
This ERC position will be a subject matter expert on I&D issues that touch ER, support I&D initiatives from an ER perspective, address ER issues stemming from these initiatives, investigate complex ER concerns referred by I&D or refer those concerns to the appropriate ER and or PBP stakeholders internally.
Ensures consistent application of Apple's AfterCare program as part of the investigation plan.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
