Job Description

The EMIB team is looking for an experienced backend process integrator (PI) to develop our EMIB technology. This includes the following:

  • Design and execution of experiments for next generation EMIB products.
  • Defining and establishing process recipes, flows, characterization windows, and specifications for new products.
  • Partnering with TD module teams to select required equipment to develop new devices or products.
  • Collaborating with upstream and downstream customers to meet customer product requests, develop design rules and manage interactions while ensuring manufacturability and reliability goals can be met.
  • Planning and conducting experiments and data analysis to optimize and characterize new processes and understand sources of variation within the fab to improve process stability/capability.
  • Developing solutions to problems utilizing formal education, statistical knowledge, experiment design, industry literature, and problem-solving tools.
  • Developing strategies to resolve difficult problems and establishing systems to deal with these problems in the future.

  • Capable of presenting information clearly and effectively to multiple audiences with varying degrees of technical background.
  • Capable of working autonomously with minimal oversight or coaching


Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelors, MS, or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Microelectronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related fields
  • 5+ years previous experience in the semiconductor industry with at least two years of process development experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with backend processing and tools
  • Experience with design of experiments (DOE) principles
  • Experience in data analysis and statistical process control (JMP, SQL, PCS)
  • Demonstrated capability working in a high performing team culture which includes: excellent teamwork and leadership skills, demonstrated problem solving and prioritization skills
  • Fundamental understanding of electrical test structures, Sort bins, Class test, device characteristics, product architecture, process interactions and packaging technology
  • Understands concepts of process capability, true spec, and variance
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following engineering disciplines: Process Integration, Design, Modeling, and/or Process Engineering
