Role Summary:
This position is recognized as a technical expert and thought leader inside and outside of General Electric that shapes technical direction of medical products. The individual drives and implements global technology and innovation strategies across the Anesthesia & Respiratory Care business. Individual will be a key leader in the global technology team and set the tone for accelerating development schedules while minimizing technical and schedule risk for the Anesthesia and Respiratory team.


Essential Responsibilities:
A successful candidate will become part of the high-powered Anesthesia & Respiratory Care Product Development team and will own activities from product concept through system integration to end of life (M6) in manufacturing. The successful candidate will support and influence a multi-generational product development plan by delivering electronics hardware for the Anesthesia & Respiratory business. Design skills must include:

     FPGA implementation,              VHDL,
     Embedded C,                          Linux,
     Analog and digital designs,       Operator Interfaces,
     Power Supply design               
     Communications interfaces such as:
         PCI Express, USB2 / 3 / C, Ethernet, Bluetooth, and M-Band.
     

The candidate will be responsible for;

    Delivering and demonstrating Quality Designs,
    Hitting our VCP and NPI Cost Targets,
    Acceleration of NPI Hardware Development,  
    Architectural drawings,
    specifications,
    circuit & subsystem design details
    Setting and executing appropriated test and verification activities.
    
The candidate will define product and hardware subsystem requirements and verification of such. They will interface with global Electrical, Software, Program, and Mechanical Engineering teams. They will be a key GE Interface with groups such as; Manufacturing, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Service, and Digital as well as external partners and customers.The candidate must demonstrate acceleration of advanced technology development practices, prototyping and prove-out, ensuring that the technologies are quick to market and have clinical and market value. Candidate must be capable of driving development across all Anesthesia & Respiratory Care development locations. The candidate must demonstrate ability to influence through the use of six sigma, command of reliability tools, simulation methods and knowledge of GE best practices and standards.

Qualifications/Requirements:
BS Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical or Biomedical Engineering and 4 years relevant work experience.

* 6 Sigma Green Belt Certified. * Reliability Growth Experience * Ability to influence teams and thought leaders with statistical data presentation. * Ability to explain complex technical information and present in simplest form.* Excellent verbal & written communications skills. * Strong team leadership skills. * Working knowledge of EMC Standards, compliance Techniques, and Testing * Electrical CAD Experience (Cadence) * Deep technical domain in technologies listed in Essential Responsibilities Section.* Anesthesia and Respiratory hardware experience* Ability to communicate with strategic suppliers in USA, China, and India.* Proven ability to develop timely and effective solutions for challenging design problems* Demonstrated problem-solving techniques.* Demonstrated ability to make recommendations to technical and program leadership to improve the product, process or technology.* Demonstrate a motivated, self-starter attitude.* Demonstrated ability to close and finish on tasks quickly.
