Job Description

Successful candidate will work hands-on to drive sophisticated equipment and on-die silicon features to measure the electrical performance of high-speed parallel and serial interfaces, and/or validate analog IP's such as FIVR, ADC/DAC's, etc. in modern CPUs, chipsets, and SOCs. You will perform statistical data analysis to compare performance against both specification and expectations across test cases defined by yourself, design, internal workgroups, industry standards and component specifications. You will write comprehensive test code that controls measurement equipment, thermal controls, silicon and other test components. You will work jointly with partners in design, signal integrity, BIOS, platform, high volume manufacturing and wafer fabrication teams to resolve complex issues affecting product health ensuring world-class products for our customers. You will enable the customer by providing them tools and support to solve their most difficult issues. You will endeavor to work with external and internal teams to help us continuously improve our methods and processes to ensure high quality and timely products in the most efficient manner possible.

Qualifications

Candidate must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, military training and/or work experience. This is an entry level position and it will be compensated accordingly.

Minimum Requirements:

Candidate must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.

1+ years of experience in some of the following areas:

  • Measuring electrical performance of analog signals

  • Platform debug

  • Writing and debugging software

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ years of experience in some of the following areas:

  • Hands on experience using oscilloscopes, BERTs, VNAs, TDRs, Spectrum Analyzers, RF switches...

  • Analyzing power delivery systems

  • Higher speed serial interface analog building blocks, protocol, specifications and test methods

  • Writing Python object oriented code to automate test procedures

  • Understanding of good software architecture principles and development practices

  • Understanding of PCB layout best practices
