The Re-Empower Program helps support talented and committed professionals as they rebuild their capabilities, enhance leadership skills, and continue their professional journey. Over the course of the 14-week program, experienced professionals will gain paid, on-the-job experience, have an opportunity to participate in sessions with leadership, develop personalized plans for success, and receive coaching to guide their return to work experience. Upon completion of the program, based on performance and contributions participants will be eligible for a career at Raytheon Technologies.

The next cohort of the Re-Empower Program will run from September 13 December 17, 2021.

Minimum Program Qualifications

To qualify for the Raytheon Technologies Re-Empower Program, candidates should:

Be on a career break of one or more year at time of application
Have prior experience in functional area of interest
Have interest in returning in either a full-time or part-time position

Job Summary:

The Common Electronic Products Department (CEPD) is currently searching for an Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Tucson, Arizona. The successful candidate will have experience within any phase of bringing a concept to tangible hardware in hand.

CEPD is a Product Based internal customer facing organization for electrical design activities and provides the expertise that optimizes electronic hardware designs for producibility, delivering electrical circuit design layouts, strategic procurement relationships, Electromagnetic Interference Analysis, Spectrum Management, Component Obsolescence, Part Verification, and Part Approval through project leadership to achieve cycle time, technology, and cost goals.


Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Contribute to a hardware development environment that is structured for achieving successful project execution
  • Continuous improvement by means of uniform implementation and deployment of hardware processes
  • Support producibility and cost trades for Rigid, Rigid-Flex and Flexible electronics packaging and other advanced component technologies
  • Partnering with Engineers who support disciplines common to electronic systems such as, systems obsolescence, E3 requirements, spectrum management, along with analysis and test support.
This position can be a salary grade P2 or P3, based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with one or more of the following:
    • Electrical design process including, but not limited to, laying out Rigid, Rigid-Flex and Flexible PCBs
    • Printed Circuit Board Design, Manufacturing, and Assembly
    • Understanding and interpreting drawings as they relate to PCBs and CCAs
    • Circuit manufacturing principles that affect component layout and circuity along with proactive communication with suppliers
    • EMI/EMC test and/or design
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:
  • Communication skills necessary to interface with all levels of RMD management.
  • Have the ability to apply varying technical expertise and have knowledge of other related disciplines. Work will be performed without appreciable direction.
  • Have experience in the realm of assembly verification test and integrated assembly.
  • Have the ability to apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Be able to work on complex technical problems and facilitate innovative solutions.
  • Be able to guide the successful completion of major activities and functions in a project leadership role.
  • Additional background in supply chain management or program management
