As an Integration Electrical Distribution System Engineering Program Manager within Apple's organization, you will be responsible formanaging electrical distribution harness and interconnect systems from architecture through production phases, driving technical and programatic issues to closure, setting up project schedules,budgets, and managing suppliers. EPMs need to be self-starters, capable of providing on-site leadership with an eye for detail. We have a solid track record of delivering projects on time while exemplifying the utmost attention to quality. Candidate will work in close collaboration withvarious cross-functional engineering and design teams, vendors, and contractors.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years combined experience in electrical/mechanical engineering and program management
  • Design experience in HV and LV power, data and high speed signal integrated systems
  • In-depth experience working with EE, ME, PD and EPM teams as well as hands on experience in harness fabrication.
  • Understands and thrives with rapid development cycles; remainsflexible and calm in the face of ambiguity while creating clear direction and plans for working level and leadership teams.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of product development processes of complex integrated systems
  • Ability to establish program milestones, goals, objectives and schedules for the cross functional teams as well as drive execution.
  • Proven track record of driving program execution, meeting deliverables, managing risks and solid decision making
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously while developing scalable tracking processes to ensure every required detail is captured to execute designs.
  • Ability to filter, distill and effectively communicate relevant information for the right audience
  • Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
  • Experience interfacing with operations/manufacturing teams, suppliers and contractors
  • Self motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and criticalthinking skills
  • Strong engineering / technical background.

Description

Drive integrated HW system interconnection development and define scope of work for electrical and mechanical engineering teams and harness suppliers
Identify and prioritize project tasks and risks related to the overall integrated systems
Develop tracking systems aimed at efficiently driving harness design and build with the ability to support system teams with real time status and reliable completion targets
Manage design FMEA as issues arise internally or with suppliers. Quickly define mitigation plans and communicate the impact to all stakeholders.
Understand and communicate complex, technical, engineering issues to a variety of audiences
Coordinate program reviews; communicating program status and top engineering issues to project team and management
Coordinate design process to ensure design meets intended program goals
Drive suppliers / vendors, integrating their deliverables and schedules into the program

Education & Experience

BS Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering degree or equivalent required.
