This Electrical & Controls Engineering Supervisor role is responsible for leading and directing a team consisting of both Electrical and Instrumentation & Controls engineers of varying levels of experience and professional registration in the research, design, and application of equipment and processes used in the generation, transmission, distribution, and storage of electricity and oversees the development of electronics for use in a variety of applications, including signal processing, telecommunications, acoustics, control engineering, instrumentation engineering, and power electronics. You would direct, supervise, schedule, implement, coordinate and monitor your team’s work to accomplish the related Central Arizona Project (CAP) technical engineering functions. You would balance your team’s focus on modernizing infrastructure while maintaining reliability of system operations. Additionally, you would oversee the development of electronic systems for use in a variety of applications, including protective relaying, low/medium voltage equipment replacement, programmable logic controllers, human-machine interfaces, field instrumentation, and industrial networking.

 

Central Arizona Project is the largest supplier of renewable water in the state of Arizona. We operate and maintain a 336 mile long aqueduct and pumping plant system that stretches from our source at the Colorado River to the communities of central and southern Arizona. On a yearly basis, we pump and deliver over 1.5 million acre-feet of water to enhance the state's economy and quality of life and ensure sustainable growth for current and future populations of Arizonans. Requirements

The successful candidate will have an accredited Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field, at least seven years of recent experience performing related functions, two years of progressive supervisory or leadership experience, excellent team leadership qualities, and a valid driver’s license. Arizona Professional Engineer registration (PE) is a plus and would be expected for you to attain within one year of appointment in the position.
