Sikorsky Aircraft is seeking a candidate for the Sikorsky West Palm Beach facility in the area of advanced avionics and mission system integration. Familiarity with modern avionics architectures, components and system engineering processes is preferred. Technical areas of primary interest include avionics architecture and requirements, digital communications, navigation systems, and sensors. Tasks include all aspects of avionics integration, Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), troubleshooting, shop support, integration, verification, flight testing and technical writing and document management. In particular, supporting the Engineering Measurement Request (EMR) and data analysis will be the primary responsibility along with supporting the flight testing and report writing for the CHR program. Must be willing to travel because some of the flight testing will be conducted in Duke Field, FL

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required.
Master's degree in Engineering is desirable, but not necessary
Demonstrated understanding of helicopter systems, helicopter avionics systems, helicopter computer architectures, systems integration and sensor operation.
Candidate must be able to attain a security clearance

Desired skills
- Acknowledge and understand the requirements definition and how flight test must meet these requirements
- Support and Development of Instrumentation, System Design, Flight Test, and Avionics engineering departments
- Data Bus Definitions and Requirements
• Research Interface Control Documentation to populate Data Words in the (EMR) document
-Apply principals of digital communications systems across multiple avionics components
• MIL-STD-1553B
• ARINC-429
• Ethernet
- Gather and reorganize properties of digital communication across measured avionics systems
• Define ARINC-429 messages
- Creation of Multiplexed Data Stream Identification Names (MUXID) and measurement name (mnemonic, notional)
• Define MIL-STD-1553B messages
- Formulate message ID by hexadecimal hand calculations for unique measurement name
- Determine message source to message target
- Support data analysis after flight test to support the test reporting
