Apple's fast-growing global Apple Music business seeks a creatively-minded Editorial & Content Operations lead to join its global Content Strategy and Production team.

The successful applicant will be one who has experience in the fast paced world of radio and digital content. They thrive in identifying opportunities for content creation that will resonate with various audiences; while also knowing how to best communicate those initiatives and moments most effectively to all stakeholders.

The applicant will be a natural communicator and content consumer, with an eye for detail and a passion for identifying newsworthy and/or engaging opportunities, coupled with a razor-sharp ability to work well cross-functionally to bring those stories to life both on and off platform.

Key Qualifications

  • 8 to 12 + years of industry related experience.
  • Thorough understanding of the digital content space as it intersects with broadcast, and catch up radio
  • Deep understanding and experience in the world of radio and short-form video content creation
  • Ability to strategically identify content opportunities and then work cross-functionally to project lead and execute to a very high standard
  • Functionally being able to lead and drive conversations around prioritization of resources
  • Be able to identify new opportunities as they come in off cycle or as ad-hoc requests
  • Have a keen sense of, culturally-relevant editorial opportunities
  • Once projects and priorities are identified, project manage them through planning, production, design, marketing, video production/OC, music programming and radio
  • Communicate last-minute changes to plans and manage expectations cross-functionally
  • Work with teams to ideate content concepts and timelines that are co-ordinated and feed into the wider content strategy and business objectives
  • Lead weekly status, prioritization and production meetings with cross-functional teams to ensure the content we capture is being serviced to the right teams and places on platform
  • Deep connection to the arts, tech, social & media landscape, and experience working closely with creative teams
  • A proven track record of idea-generation and Digital content creation
  • Proven track record in working on complex, global, large-scale, and time-critical projects
  • Natural networker with the ability to build strong ties with both internal and external partners
  • The ideal candidate will have had experience working across International cultures and countries with both an understanding and passion for local nuances
  • Both verbal and written communication skills are essential, with a track record of leading projects in a fast-paced environment

Description

The Editorial & Content Operations lead will work with the Apple Music Radio teams to identify temporal and cultural opportunities; and then lead those projects across all of our platforms to execute to a very high Apple standard
In this role you will be working daily to bring to life content opportunities from our radio properties across the entire Apple Music platform
The successful candidate will bring with them experience in the content creation space, a love of story telling and the ability to identify content opportunities
You will work with internal stakeholders to ensure the video content we are creating to support our platform roles out with partners, marketing and on platform in a way that is engaging to our audience
The person in this role identifies content opportunities and works with the functional leaders to take an idea from conception into a holistic, cross-platform project that they will then manage, track and communicate updates across the business
This role will be responsible for leading the discussion around shifting priorities and resource allocations as it relates to video content across the Apple Music platform, including Apple Music Radio
The person in this role must have exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally to bring ideas and plans together; being able to reconcile different creative points of view as well as ensuring that each stakeholder is invested
The position requires a self-motivated individual; extraordinarily driven, highly adaptable with outstanding communication and organizational skills, who is also able to work under pressure

Education & Experience

University degree preferable. MBA or Post-Graduate is a plus.
Plus 8 to 12 + years of industry related experience.
