This position is for a technician to transport and maneuver energetic sections to facilitate the building of large scale missiles. Applicant must be mechanically gifted, prioritize attention to detail and safety, and be dedicated to providing strategic and critical products to our war fighters. Job will be performed in the state of the art factory for large scale missile production which is located on the Redstone Arsenal.

Job functions include but are not limited to:
  • Handle and transport warheads, pyrotechnic devices and complete ordnance weapons systems.
  • Work with computer systems and applications.
  • Perform hardware movement in factory utilizing advanced robotic automation.
  • Must be able to follow all documented processes and procedures involving assembly and focus on proper material handling is adhered to at all times.
  • Perform assembly, modification, and checkout of ordnance weapon systems.
  • Offload, load, and maneuver explosives in indoor/outdoor facilities and environments.
  • Willing to work with explosive items.
  • Ability to operate pneumatic and manual tools.
  • Capable of using manual torque tools, torqueing values in excess of 250 foot pounds.
  • Follow detailed work instructions and detailed processes to ensure hardware conformance.
  • Support and Lean Manufacturing in all processes and areas of responsibility.
  • Willing to complete necessary training to improve skills.
  • Willing to participate in meetings to acquire knowledge necessary to assist in continuance of
    production operations in an accurate manner.
  • Ability to provide work assignments and instruction to team member operators as needed.
  • Ability to work outdoors in in-season climate (hotter and colder temperatures) during workday.
The above includes but is not limited to making sure that all documented
processes and procedures involving assembly and a focus on proper material handling are adhered to.


Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or the equivalent
  • Must possess a class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with vehicle and hazardous material endorsement.
  • 6 years of experience in driving a truck, assembly and/or related field.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Desired Qualifications:
  • Ability to operate forklift, walkie stacker, pallet jack, and other equipment normally associated with loading and unloading trucks.
  • Ability to obtain a DOT medical examiners certificate.
  • 2 years recent experience operating power lift trucks (forklifts).
