The Retail Engagement & Marketing organization crafts, produces and manages the programs, campaigns and experiences that help Apple Retail's customers and teams discover, be passionate about, learn about and go further with Apple's products, services, values and initiatives.

The role of the worldwide Learning and Development team is to work cross-functionally across Apple Retail and the rest of Apple's teams to innovate, define, lead and optimize the resources, plans, process and platforms required to deliver world-leading learning and development programs and experiences.

The Director, WW Learning and Development leads this group of learning and development specialists and is a key leader in the broader Retail Engagement and Marketing team.

  • Proven track record in developing employee learning and development strategies
  • Track record leading global multi-disciplinary, high performance, balanced teams.
  • Lead strategic approaches from ideation to implementation.
  • Implement new technologies and approaches for learning at scale.
  • Deep understanding of Apple culture
  • Able to navigate complex work, problem-solve, and collaborate with local and global partners.
  • Skilled in aligning priorities, assessing needs and advising messaging
  • Nimble business mind with a focus on leading creative solutions and understanding of Retail priorities


In this role you will be responsible for the innovation and impact of the Apple Retail employee experience through our Learning and Development capabilities.
You will partner with other leaders within the organization and across Apple to set the vision for the function. The primary goal will be to deliver inspiring and impactful content, events and training experiences that provide our customer-serving team members what they need to be successful in their roles.
You will define the strategies and programs for Learning and Development that elevate our teams, embodying Apple's values.
You are a specialist on the best ways to deploy tools and an expansive library of content. Content will cover a variety of products, services, and values targeted at various audiences which will be important to scale optimally and efficiently.
You are able to operate and react to the fast-pace of our business, while having the strategic foresight to focus on the things that will make the biggest impact.
You are an inclusive leader, ensuring that no group or learning style experiences barriers to being their best at Apple.
You will establish the vision, purpose, goals, and measures of success for your team, in alignment with what is established for the entire organization.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred)
