Join CQN to be part of a team that is assisting Intel transform the quality culture. Intel's Corporate Quality Network (CQN) has a director level position open to lead the Corporate Product Regulations and Standards (CPRS) group. In this role you will protect people, property, and the environment through world-class regulatory practices. This position and department are responsible for the regulatory compliance and safety of all products produced by Intel. It incorporates a broad list of technical disciplines to identify applicable regulations and standards including: safety hazards, chemical restrictions, electro-magnetic compatibility (EMC), radio frequency (RF), energy efficiency, repairability, recyclability, accessibility, security and privacy, as well several emerging areas of potential future regulation such as artificial intelligence and product carbon footprint.

Principle to the role of the Director of CPRS is leadership of a world-wide organization. As Director, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a cohesive leadership team. As an organization with professionals of diverse specialized skills, talent retention and development are crucial. 

As the Director, Corporate Product Regulations and Standards, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Drive a product safety and a product regulatory compliance culture across Intel
  • Build and maintain a strong leadership team to ensure the organization delivers to its mission
  • Attract and retain regulatory technical talent for both engineering and standards influencing work
  • Collaborate with executives from all business groups and subsidiaries and other key compliance programs to ensure products can ship on time to their desired markets
  • Partner with authorities, Standards Development Organizations (SDOs) and industry trade groups to influence new regulations and standards in alignment with Intel goals
  • Maintain a worldwide sensing network to comprehend changes in both standards and regulations in time to adapt products to those changes
  • Work closely with mergers and acquisitions teams to ensure product regulatory compliance for both acquisitions and divestitures
  • Maintain a strong and close working relationship with legal partners around the globe
  • Drive the solutions necessary to ensure Intel products have access to worldwide markets
  • Protect Intel's product liability and regulatory exposure by building and maintaining a robust Compliance Effectiveness Program

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.


Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must possess at least one of the 2 following degrees plus the years of experience determined in the areas specified below .

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field of study; OR
  • Master's degree in Engineering or a related field of study;
  • 15+ years  of relevant experience of working in a diverse and complex corporate environment.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in leadership skills, developing others, recruiting top talent, and building a high-performing collaborative team.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in championing and developing sustainable business processes.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of industry influencing activities including standards influencing, lobbying, and special industry groups
  • Understanding of Intel's customers, market trends, ecosystem, and underlying technologies
  • Awareness and knowledge of Product Regulations and Liability relevant to Intel
