The Digital Media Activation Specialist will work within the in-house media activation arm of the paid digital team across Apple Services. You will work closely with cross-functional internal teams (media strategy, ad operations, analytics, etc.) while also working extensively with publisher partners and advertising vendors. You will support digital publisher activations, guide media strategy and negotiations, and play an integral part in activating go-to-market digital executions.

The Digital Media team is very performance-minded and growth-driven and works in a true integrated digital capacity across acquisition and awareness objectives. We work across Apple's suite of Services including Apple TV App, Apple Card, App Store, Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Apple Podcasts, Apple Books, Apple News+, iCloud and more.

Key Qualifications

  • Comprehensive understanding of digital media metrics, both from a brand awareness and direct response perspective - digital subscription and/or entertainment experience is a plus
  • Deep familiarity with media rate negotiations and a strong grasp of how to evaluate digital inventory/data value
  • Strong working knowledge of digital advertising executional workflow, measurement, research, optimization, and testing methodologies
  • Functional, working knowledge of digital advertising platforms such as Google CM and media network/DSP platforms (i.e. TTD, DV360, Verizon, etc.)
  • Familiarity and experience with custom digital executions (i.e. microsite development, custom editorial content, custom newsletter activations, first-to-market digital publisher activations etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and keen ability to synthesize data insights for audiences of varied digital media expertise
  • Holistic understanding of end-to-end media buying and planning processes (i.e. audience planning, issuing comprehensive RFPs, developing strategic media plans, initiating contracts, trafficking creative/coded URLs, QAing reporting, actualizing delivery etc.)

Description

In close partnership with the campaign strategy, ad operations, and measurement teams, as well as fellow counterparts in media activation, the Digital Media Activation Specialist will collaborate on partner strategy, planning, execution, measurement, and reporting across campaign activity. A deep institutional and historical knowledge of the digital media industry and partner landscape is a must as this role will constantly be evaluating new inventory sources and advertising formats available in-market to continually test and optimize campaigns across business lines.

Education & Experience

3+ years media planning and buying experience
Bachelor's degree
