Job Summary:
Whole Life Engineering (WLE) and the Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile (ESSM) Program are seeking a strong dynamic leader to serve as the ESSM Depot Manager. This position requires a high-energy multi-tasker that is able to thrive in a fast-paced environment to lead a small team in an environment where a premium is placed on creativity, innovation, and persuasiveness with employees and customers.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
As the Depot Manager youre responsible for:
  • Intermediate and Depot level maintenance Management and leadership of the growing logistics team
  • Function as the main POC between the Program and the Factory. Direct team members in process evaluation, improvement and/or re-engineering in support of sustainment activities
  • Accountable for professionally supporting, technically, all program milestones and positively engaging to contribute to successful reviews and customer exchanges
  • Identify and elevate, when required, technical execution risks (includes Technical Discipline, Technical Performance, Cost and Schedule Performance) to program and functional management
  • Work in cross functional teams to support the factory in repairing hardware returned for Warranty or non-Warranty repair. Includes but is not limited to serving as the primary factory interface with Finance, Contracts and the customer, working with Operations to set priorities and removing roadblocks that might delay repairs.
  • Fostering an environment of change to drive logistics adaptation and process improvement
  • Whole Life Engineering capabilities Cross-Product Team leadership extending beyond ILS and Training to Reliability Modeling and Safety

This position will be located in Tucson, Arizona.

An advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience may be considered for this role.

Qualifications You Must Have:
Education: Bachelor's degree OR 8+ years of relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors degree. (Two years of related work experience can substitute for one year of college education)
Employment Experience:
  • 8+ years of Logistics, Depot or Warehouse management experience
  • Leadership experience
  • An active and in-scope Secret US Security Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance

Qualifications We Value:

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct business and financial analysis succinctly synthesizing Program data into decision level information streams
  • Effective task leadership, oral and written communication skills, including ability to conduct briefings with internal and external representatives
  • Results driven and detail oriented
  • Ability to assume leadership role in the absence of Sustainment Manager
  • Masters Degree in Engineering or Logistics Sciences
  • 10 + years of Raytheon/US Navy Logistics leadership experience
  • Technical / Engineering background
  • Experience in hiring and talent acquisition and people development
  • Proven ability to establish strong logistics support structure
  • Knowledge and prior experience of US Government Contracting processes and procedures
  • Current or previous experience with general factory depot repair processes
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Self-starter who embraces program strategies and leads accordingly
  • Extensive knowledge of PRISM, LOKI, CABS
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
