The WW Decision Support team (DS) is looking for a manager to lead their Critical Business Operations team to support the Supply Demand Management function. The Critical Business Operations team's key focus is to drive a leadership level data & analytics toolkit to provide insights on supply chain health & support strategic decision making.

The candidate for this role is part data & analytics manager, part trusted adviser, part visionary, who demonstrates their business acumen and technical knowledge to deliver impactful solutions in support of rapid decision-making and process efficiencies, with focus on supporting key Operations initiatives.

This role is highly visible, interacting with executives and networking throughout Apple's organization.

Key Qualifications

  • 8-10 years relevant experience with Operations (including Supply Planning).
  • Experience in managing teams, including hiring and coaching.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Proficiency with DS Tools/applications (Tableau, BOBJ, Teradata, Hierarchies, Security).
  • Experience presenting and sharing insights with various business functions.
  • Experience in collaborating and getting work done through remote teams.

Description

The individual will be expected to collaborate with business partners to enable their strategy, influence change and articulate benefits of new ideas, capabilities, and tools. Actively demonstrate the value of these to the business.
- Drive the vision for DS Critical Business Operations.
- Possess a strong supply chain planning business process understanding to shape solutions.
- Anticipate customer requests and drive what matters embracing "Simplicity" as the essence.
- Drive strong execution to ensure quality work is provided to customers; Inspire change management/adoption of the delivered product.
- Align closely and work directly with global teams on key initiatives, New Product Introductions, and other business process activities.
- Establish internal frameworks and operating processes to enable repeatability, use and scale for initiatives.
- Drive active discussions to evolve the DS roadmap and deliver on priorities having the maximum impact for Apple.
- Manage large complex initiatives.
- Have a strong ability to collaborate and influence partner teams.
- Innovate constantly - seek out opportunities to propel new ideas for impact, evolve our capabilities and be acknowledged as a "thought leader" by team, stakeholders, peers, partners and the leadership team.
- Provide guidance and direction to team, exhibit leadership qualities focused on delivering business value.
- Own the hard calls as a leader, determine trade-offs and mitigate risks.
- Instill the spirit of candor, openness and resilience within the team to achieve great outcomes. Establish a culture of openness to debate, collaboration and pushing each other's boundaries towards continuous learning.

Education & Experience

BS in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics.

MS/MBA in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Statistics.

(Operations Research, Machine Learning or related field a plus).

  • - Have a demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior level executives and foster a leadership presence with Sr. leaders across Apple.
  • - Possess the ability to communicate succinctly and at the right levels, Lead strategic discussions with Sr. leaders. Influence ongoing.
  • - Possess a very high degree of natural curiosity to seek the next levels of business questions and insights.
  • - Have the ability to quickly translate ambiguous business requirements into solutions.
  • - Demonstrate the ability to see around corners, connect dots at a macro level and mitigate challenges early.
  • - Foster a culture that appreciates diverse perspectives and debate to drive the best outcomes for Apple.
  • - Have extreme attention to detail, understanding that team credibility hinges on accuracy and overall quality.
