Apple builds cameras at a scale that is unparalleled, with a complexity, quality, and consistency that makes them the most popular cameras in the world. Each product release provides breakthroughs in photography and stunning features customers love. The Camera and Depth Hardware team is looking for a talented, dedicated software engineer with experience in cloud technologies to build big data systems which enable our cross-functional team of hardware engineers and researchers to make data-driven decisions on how to make our cameras even better
Key Qualifications
As a Data Engineer for the Camera and Depth Hardware team, you will:
Engage with internal product teams to solve big data engineering problems, from simulation to manufacturing
Work with 3rd-party hardware suppliers to define and manage data streams and interfaces
Build beautiful visualization tools to express complex datasets
Solve distributed computing problems using concepts like map/reduce and scatter/gather
Develop, test, and maintain reliable and scalable REST APIs and client tools to enable data exploration
This role will be based in San Diego, CA and requires some in-state travel to Cupertino as well as international travel to global R&D teams in our org and product development sites.
Education & Experience
BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Image Science, or related field.
