The data platform partner engineer is a new role under SDS's partner experience team. As a key member of this team, you will be on the front lines with our internal/external partners to help design comprehensive technical solutions that meet their critical business requirements. This role is instrumental in ensuring the success of our partners' implementations and more importantly, you will be an advocate for our partners internally and work with engineering to make sure their use cases are made possible within the our data platform ecosystem.

We look for people who are open minded, able to approach any challenge with diplomacy, remain calm under pressure and possess a no-problem-too-big-or-too-small attitude. Ideally, you will have a good background in software development and data analysis. This role also requires the development of domain expertise and familiarity with manufacturing test processes and qualitative data measurement. Your role will involve engaging partners, providing support, and giving technical guidance on the Insight product portfolio.

This position can be based in Sacramento, CA or Sunnyvale, CA.

Key Qualifications

• 5+ years of developer advocacy, partner engineering, software engineering, product management, or related experience
• Expertise in Java, Swift, Scala, Python or JavaScript will be very helpful
• Experience in a customer facing, pre-sales, solutions engineering, or field engineering role is a plus
• Ability to dive in to debug and analyze service base application issues
• History of customer centric service, consistent on time delivery of custom customer solutions, and team first approach
• Have a strong desire to educate others and help people with problems
• Technical project management skills
• Ability to understand complex ideas and able to articulate them in simple and easy to understand fashion
• Demonstrated track record of fulfilling commitments and fostering mutual trust with fellow team members

Description
Play a critical role in helping the Insight engineering team to build a world class API platform
Become a technical expert in Insight manufacturing system products and be able to take that expertise into the field
Develop and implement tools to further optimize production workflow and governance of API platform
Creating code examples, documentation, and other tools necessary to support our partners at scale
Play key role in onboarding new API consumer and governing the existing usage
Work with internal and external teams to validate and troubleshoot API related issues
Build relationships with various partnering groups and becoming a trusted advisor
Consult in-depth with Apple developers who are planning or already using Insight API
Design, build, and run proof of concepts with prospective API consumers
Position yourself as a go-to consultative resource and solutions expert for Insight API
Support business development partners with technical consultations pre and post implementation
Participate in special projects to build customized solution leveraging your expertise

Education & Experience
Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent degree
