We have carved out a niche position in Data Architecture functional team to play a meaningful role in developing tools and establishing processes to form an enterprise scale data lineage platform as part of data governance and data management strategy. In this role, you will focus on crafting, developing, and integrating solutions to derive, enrich, and manage data lineage for large scale data pipelines enabling business analytics use cases.

Key Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of industry experience in architecture role passionate about metadata management, data lineage, data catalog, & data quality.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in systematically capturing wide variety of metadata including end to end lineage, data models, data profiling, and usage statistics from disparate systems including RDBMS and Big Data platforms.
  • Demonstrable experience in utilizing open source parsers for structured languages including SQL, Spark, Scala and integrating with third-party plug-ins and products.
  • Ability to connect physical, logical, and business data model aspects to design unified data catalog providing complete data lineage and data quality metrics as data flows from end to end pipeline.
  • Experience designing and managing open source relational databases, search engines, and graph databases.
  • Experience developing unified data catalog provide insights on impact assessment, enable discovery of metadata, curate metadata management rules, tag data assets, and improve data quality controls.
  • Experience developing UI to provide end to end workflow management, altering, reporting, and search & discovery capabilities.
  • Should demonstrate solid understanding of development processes and agile methodologies

Description
- Builds metadata repository including end to end data lineage. Builds metadata discovery framework to extract metadata from HDFS, Teradata, Vertica to load into metadata repository
- Builds UI framework to surface insights and enable metadata lifecycle management workflow
- Defines data quality rules, thresholds, and standard metrics/quality-expectations for data elements that support critical business processes
- Partners with engineering teams on the development and implementation of the controls to mitigate data quality risk
- Monitors data quality results, reports and dashboard, and consults on data quality corrective action plans
- Partners with enterprise data and analytic partners to establish metrics for data quality process assessment. Checks and reviews failures from complex compliance assessments
- Builds a data quality dashboard/scorecard to help monitor the quality of the data pipeline!
- Performs root cause analysis of the data quality issues and drives corrective actions

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Information Systems.
