Job Description

The Electronic Systems Laboratory (ELSYS) Air National Guard Program Office (ANGPO) seeks Graduate Research Assistants (GRAs) to work as data analysts and flight test engineers. This position will support data analysis, test and evaluation engineering, and systems engineering activities. As a GRA test engineer, you will perform hardware, software, and systems testing for a mid-sized team of engineers executing ongoing sponsored programs in the field of operational flight test for the ANGPO in Atlanta and multiple ANGPO field offices.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Graduate Research Assistant

  • Pursuing a Masters degree or PhD at Georgia Tech in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical and Computer Engineering
  • Must be enrolled full-time (12+ credit hours) during working semesters
  • Must have a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA
  • Must commit to 15-20 hours of work per week
  • Familiarity with telemetry, flight test data, and post-test data analysis
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks, Python scripts, and MS Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous student employment or full-time experience in similar domain and functions related to telemetry, flight test data, aircraft data, and post-test data analysis
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
  • Proficiency in development of Python scripts

1520 hours per week

Due to our research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens.

Clearance Type Required

Ability to obtain Secret Clearance upon hire
