Does a STEM education future-proof its recipients? Would exposure to the arts – music, dance, theater, fine art – enhance and deepen a STEM education?   Engineering360 author Jonathan Fuller tackles this subject in a recent article.

Fuller examines several topics that are part of the current discussion about K-12 education in general and science and technology education in particular. He looks at the STEM crisis – if there is one – and whether arts education teaches creativity and is therefore a necessary complement to science and math. Also included are a discussion of education in China and the role arts and humanities now play in pre-college education.
