Job Description: Apply and administer established Configuration Management procedures and processes for configuration identification, control, status accounting, and auditing, as directed. Included are: coordination of engineering investigation requests, releases / changes, monitoring and reporting of standard and unique statuses and metrics, generation of multiple media formats for deliverable technical data package. Participates in the coordination and administration of assigned configuration management activities relative to identification, control, and accounting for systems and/or equipment in accordance with contractual requirements. Establishes procedures for and implements the introduction of changes to engineering documents for an assigned program. Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities. Ensures that customer requirements are implemented and reviews change accounting activity to ensure compliance with configuration management policies.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
Required Education/Skills:
Education Bachelor Degree with Business focus or non-technical. Must be either currently pursuing degree or degree must have been granted in the last 18 months.
Experience with MS Office applications
U.S. Citizenship is required
Desired Skills:
Strong communication skills, including generation and presentation of briefing packages to department and program management
Proficiency in Configuration Management processes, including change analysis, and general technical documentation format requirements for engineering drawings
Familiarity with CDM guidance documents EIA-649, MIL_HDBK-61, Mil STD 973 , and CM planning and execution
ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles
