The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at North Dakota State University (NDSU) invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor position in the area of Computer Engineering, with an anticipated start date of January 2nd, 2020.

The ECE department, housed in the College of Engineering (CoE), currently has 16 faculty, and 475 undergraduate, 17 Master, and 42 PhD students, and is ABET accredited. The department offers separate undergraduate programs in both Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering, and research specialization areas in Asynchronous Logic, Verification, VLSI, Computer Architecture, Cyber Physical/Embedded Systems, Microelectronics, Biomedical Engineering, Power/Energy and Power Electronics, Electric Materials/Nanotechnology, Communications/Signal Processing, and Electromagnetics/Optics. The CoE includes the following departments: Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, and Construction Management and Engineering. Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Required qualifications include a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field; specialization in the area of computer engineering; evidence of excellent research, including demonstrated publication record; evidence of or potential for excellent teaching; effective oral and written communication skills; and commitment to working with/teaching diverse groups including women and underrepresented American minorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications include expertise in the area of computer engineering; undergraduate and graduate teaching experience; evidence of successful grant writing and funding; and industry experience.
