Job Description

Components Research (CR) delivers innovative technologies, materials and architectures to enable Intel's roadmap. CR's fab process module technician team is looking for a motivated candidate with communication skills who can excel in a flexible and dynamic team environment.

Our process module technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
In-fab processing support of multiple research programs.
Operation, maintenance and repair of specialized processing tools to maintain high output without compromising safety or quality.
Wafer visualization including in-fab SEM top-down analysis and XSEM out-of-fab techniques.
Participation in the Emergency Response Team and other general fab operations duties.

Additionally, in this role:

  • Technicians work frequently with process engineers on development projects and have opportunities to work independently as their specialized skills increase.
  • Most assignments are semi-routine in nature and are performed within generally defined parameters.
  • Normally receives general instructions on most work.

Candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits and/or skills:

  • Flexible to work in multi-tasking environment and self-motivated requiring minimal supervision.
  • Detailed data collection and communication skills are critical in the support of multiple engineers and research projects.
  • Judgment skills in resolving non-standard problems.

This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

You must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through schoolwork and/or classes and/or project work and/or internships and/or military training and/or work experience.

Minimum Requirements:
You must possess at least one of the following educational or experience requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or Mechanical/Technical Certification or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of equivalent military training.
  • 12+ months of Semiconductor experience as a Maintenance, Manufacturing or Process Technician.

Candidates is willing to:

  • Work a 12 hour compressed work week shift. Shift alternates between three and four day work weeks. Scheduled Shift 7 (days backend) AM-PM From Thurs to Sat and alternating Wednesday days.
  • Work in a clean room environment, wearing Gortex gowns, booties, safety glasses and gloves for the majority (more than 90 percent, less break time) of daily shifts.
  • Walk 3-5 miles in a 12-hour shift and standing/sitting for 9 hours
  • Push transport carts with up to 20 lbs. of force multiple times per shift.
  • Carry up to 6-9 lbs. of weight more than 20 times per day may utilize cart.
