Job Description

The selected candidate will work with internal stakeholders and global suppliers to Characterize, Design and Optimize Fab equipment critical Spare Parts.

Responsibilities involve identifying, developing, and driving spares cost and value engineering projects, including:

1) Component design & reverse engineering, including deconstructing manufacturing methods.

2) Establishing and maintaining design flows, design collaterals and controls.

3) Defining, overseeing and/or performing in-depth component and materials characterization and failure analysis

4) Identifying and developing value engineering projects from concept to high volume manufacturing implementation.

Additional tasks:

  • Driving technical collaboration within Intel supply chain organization, manufacturing operations, Technology Development, and across global suppliers.
  • Managing multiple concurrent engineering projects.
  • Influencing and maintaining alignment with key internal and external organization stakeholders.
  • Identifying and assessing new technology opportunities related to critical spares components.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Position not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Material Science / Mechanical Engineering or closely related field

5+ years of experience in:

  • Semiconductor Fabrication Equipment and Processes.
  • Mechanical design and materials analysis.
  • Parts manufacturing critical methods and processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Global Supply Chain Engineering.
  • Hands-on metrology and failure analysis.
  • In depth working knowledge of parts manufacturing methods and processes, e.g. machining, forming, molding, cleaning, etc., as related to metals, ceramics, polymers, quartz and silicon components.
  • Surface treatments and coatings.
  • Cost program and project management.
  • Change control, statistical process control and quality systems.
  • Supplier assessments, selection and supplier technology development.
