Intel Technology Development is seeking a candidate to join the Strategy, Planning and Competitive Analysis (SPCA) team within the Pathfinding organization. The SPCA team serves as the primary source of technology competitive analysis to the lead technologists within Intel.

As a member of the Competitive Analysis team you will work with multiple partners and be responsible for developing a deep understanding of the state of the art and commercially available implementations of advanced technology nodes outside of Intel and disseminate this view within TD.

The primary responsibilities include among others:

  • Develop a complete understanding of device implementation, benefits and challenges for specific competitive nodes.

  • Partner with FA team to drive lab-based technical analysis of device implementation on commercially available semiconductor products.

  • Own the theoretical definition of competitive devices based on teardown activities and publicly available information.

  • Work with internal characterization team to generate device electrical measurement data.

  • Work with TCAD partners to help develop Compact Models of comp nodes.

  • Partner with SRAM team to develop and maintain a current view of competitors SRAM offering

  • Partner with AMS team to develop and maintain a current view of competitors AMS offering

  • Be the one-voice representation of competitive device implantation choices from comp.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of projects, research, and relevant previous job and  internship experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or other related field of study.

  • 2+ years of experience in silicon process technology development, TCAD modeling, Process Design Kit (PDK) development, Technology Development Yield Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or other related field of study

  • 1+ year experience as a device engineer

  • Any experience with SEM/TEM/EDS/EELS and Picoprobing or Failure Analysis lab equipment a plus
