Apple's Education team is growing, and we encourage you to apply. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with top notch organizational skills to manage complex, global initiatives supporting Community Education in the Environment, Policy, and Social Initiatives organization. In this role, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional projects to define, build, and implement multi-tiered programs that increase efficiencies, improve processes, and drive engagement. You will oversee all aspects of the project lifecycle, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, scope and definition, and provide oversight on a portfolio of projects.

This position can be based in any major city within the US.

Key Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of direct experience as a project or program manager leading medium to large scale projects
  • Solid track record of leading strategic projects and executing tactical activities and tasks
  • Demonstrated experience as the central point-of-contact for programs and projects
  • Ability to plan, communicate, organize, and lead multiple simultaneous projects with competing priorities and different timescales
  • Experience leading internal and external resources, preparing appropriate documentation and reporting, and delegating tasks to project team members
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong presentation skills, including proficiency in Keynote on macOS and iOS
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to anticipate risks and issues before they escalate and proactively drive toward a solution
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to bring structure and clarity where none exists
  • Willingness to adapt to rapidly changing environments and new challenges
  • Ability to travel as some site visits may be required

Description

In this role, you will:

Create and implement concepts and/or approaches to align project initiatives with strategic objectives
Drive projects to meet goals and objectives for long term success and sustainability for Apple and our partners
Manage the timely and effective delivery of Apple-related equipment through our service providers and internal team members
Evaluate existing projects against new projects while managing a dynamic pipeline in which projects are constantly added, closed out, and/or re-scoped
Create, propose, and execute new strategic tools, processes, and solutions to be implemented world-wide
Drive improvements within the organization by identifying resources, influencing key stakeholders, and defining system roadmaps
Partner with a globally dispersed cross-functional team
Influence decisions and change management through collaboration, leadership, and focus
Create and maintain key project governance to ensure the proper amount of structure is applied to enable project success
Provide timely updates and elevate critical risks to project management office and senior-executive teams
Coach and advise partners to help ensure their long term success
Plan and oversee technology rollout events
Conduct post-project reviews and provide analytical results to management

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
