Inclusion and Diversity (I&D) Community Advisors work across organizations and programs to increase representation and inclusion for under-represented communities at Apple. Advisors recruit and mentor the leadership of Diversity Network Associations (DNAs), Apple's employee resource groups, and cultivate alignment and focus to accomplish key goals.

Key Qualifications

  • Track record of building effective business partnerships in a consultative model and influencing others.
  • Experience working with or leading DNA's/ERG's
  • Experience and expertise in Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) related fields.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and lead multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in being flexible and adaptable according to the changing needs and priorities of the organization.
  • Ability to influence leaders from a variety of subject areas and seniority levels.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Description

Strong DNAs

Advisors are responsible for fostering strong DNAs. This includes identifying and preparing Co-Chairs and Executive Sponsors. Advisors provide mentorship and support to leaders as they set a strategy to align and launch the chapter and coordinate member communication channels and campaigns. As needed, the Advisors lead projects to enable DNA and team operations such as DNA web, communications strategies, pilots etc.
Expectations of the Advisor:
DNA leadership for assigned chapters is confirmed, trained and, effective.
DNA engagement includes leader led communications, a healthy slack channel, and quarterly team events.
New DNAs are launched based on assigned expansion plan.
Assigned programs or pilots are executed to enable DNA and team operations.

Amplified Activations

DNA Co-Chairs are responsible for the activations of their chapter. Advisors are responsible for amplifying and guiding those activations.
Expectations of the Advisor:
Assigned DNA chapters have relevant activation plans, anchored on the pillars and updated every six months.
Heritage Moments have a strategy, communications plan, and an internal partner brief 3 months out.
Heritage Moments are executed to Apple standards and engage strategic audiences.

The Right Thing

The Advisors are responsible for maintaining a point of view on how Apple can best support their assigned Communities and Chapters. This point of view should be advised by DNA members with an awareness of internal and external trends. Advisors often hold space and facilitate as Community Members process and explore sophisticated issues related to Inclusion and Diversity.
Expectations of the Advisor:
Establish relationships with assigned partners to organize toward I&D goals (E.G. Recruiting, Benefits).
Work with team leadership to anticipate and detail Community sentiments to share with key partners.
Facilitate for DNA leadership and stakeholders to process and articulate a point of view on sophisticated issues.
