Provide technical
leadership to Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) systems
engineering in support of the Air Force (AF) Global Strike Command at Barksdale
AFB in Shreveport, LA. This is an excellent opportunity to provide the AF with
system of systems engineering, and technical leadership
to
shape the requirements, development and implementation strategy to modernize
critical strategic warfighter
capabilities.


Key Functions:

 





Conducting system-of-systems analysis, technology assessments
and performance trades critical to the success of the Nuclear Deterrence
Operation and identifying innovative solutions to improve warfighter capability
and mitigate future threats.  Provide
timely and actionable data-driven recommendations to DoD decision makers in
development of AF NC3 Weapon System Initial Capability Document, Concept of
Operations, and strategic implementation plans.  This includes mission ne
eds analyses for requirements, roadmaps,
and technical visions development. 



Required Qualifications:



  • Expertise
    in performing concept and requirements development, mission analysis, market
    research, technology feasibility and strategic planning to transition the
    current set of systems into a modernized integrated weapon system
  • Experience
    in technical research, system-of-systems analysis, and technology assessment
  • Broad
    communication systems engineering expertise
  • Strong
    interpersonal, communications, and technical leadership skills to interface
    with AFGSC and effectively collaborate across multiple organizations and
    engineering disciplines
  • Demonstrated
    ability to develop a trusted advisor relationship with a government sponsor
  • Possess a collateral SECRET clearance and the
    ability to obtain a TS/SCI











Preferred Qualifications:



  • Understanding of AF
    NC3 mission, and a broad understanding of the communications capabilities of Global
    Strike assets transiting the globe as well as supporting forces transiting to and
    from a theater of operations
  • Experience with integrating solutions from
    across multidisciplinary engineering domains
  • Experience with system security engineering
    and modeling/simulation
  • Understanding of DoD acquisition processes









 



Minimum Qualifications:

BS and 5 years related experience.
