Job Description

GTRI Communications seeks a student assistant to support brand awareness efforts. The student assistant may contribute to the following tasks:

  • Maintenance of the internal/external websites by providing content management support 
  • System maintenance and general updates
  • Assist in troubleshooting codes and compatibility issues among different browsers and platforms
  • Consult with researchers, lab or unit directors to acquire information, as needed.
  • Identify, test and triage broken links.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Student Assistant/Research Assistant

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computational Media, Digital Media, Computer Science, Literature, Media, and Communication, or related field
  • Must be registered for at least 6 credit hours with your university during working semesters
  • 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Computer skills to include Windows, Microsoft Office, and content management systems such as Drupal or WordPress

Hours per Week

10–20 hours per week
