The Command Media team is responsible for all governing documents for Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD). A successful Command Media team member has, or will develop, a comprehensive knowledge of all Raytheon Technologies Policies, the requirements in these policies, and how they apply to our business. Together with Functional Command Media Owners (CMOs), the Command Media team develops directives and procedures that apply within each function of the organization, outlining the what to do and the how to do for RMD. As well, this team keeps and maintains a master schedule, ensuring completion of the Command Media Creation process for RMD (that is, the blending of requirements from legacy IDS and legacy RMS and heritage Raytheon Corporate into completely new documents) in a timely fashion. In addition, the team is responsible for full requirement traceability (all documents include references to ensure the origin of requirements is not lost) and document traceability (all documents refer to other Command Media).

The Command Media Architect is an important position for the future of Command Media within RMD.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Project Management contributing to the Corporate Command Media Harmonization process, including representing key considerations specific to the RMD Business Unit, maintaining the RMD portion of the Integrated Master Schedule, facilitating status meetings, resolving errors and conflicts, and escalating issues as appropriate. Other Command Media projects will also be developed and assigned once the corporate harmonization project is completed.
  • Planning and Improvement Activities creating and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules for projects; assisting the Command Media Manager in outlining and implementing long-term strategies and tactics to execute the Command Media Vision and Mission; may interface with developers to execute new tools and technology aligned with mission and vision for Command Media organization.
  • Change Implementation - assist with implementing corporate policies and directives related to Command Media at RMD business level during implementation period; expected to meet deadlines and educate Command Media owners (Sr. Managers and Director Level); implementation of changes other Command Media projects, including adherence to deadlines and ensuring proper education of appropriate internal parties.
  • Audit Support responding to and participating in required audits, and communicating findings to the Command Media Manager.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors Degree (An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional 3 years of experience).
  • 8+ years of project management experience
  • 8+ years of data analysis experience
  • Prior experience creating and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules
  • Prior experience presenting to Sr. Managers and/or Directors
  • Prior experience working across different business functions
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:
  • Knowledge of RMD and RTX organizations, including nuances between different function
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products
    • Word: generating document templates, creating forms, extensive proofreading and copy editing, use of accessibility features
    • Excel: pivot tables, data analysis and visualization, lookups, creating and refreshing tables and data connections
    • PowerPoint: create engaging and visually appealing presentations, embedding video and images
  • Demonstrated ability to build a strong rapport with internal customers
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Prior experience providing audit support
  • Prior experience supporting corporate projects
  • Prior experience with Command Media processes and requirements
  • Prior change management experience, including implementation and education
