The System Design & Architecture Directorate is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD). The Early Warning and Defense Operations Systems (EWDOS) Department supports RMD by providing world class Sensor and Weapon Systems Engineering. Domain Expertise includes Situational Awareness, Network Design, Battle Management, Battlespace Integration and Interoperability Command and Control, Communications, for Domestic and International customers.
The EWDOS Department is looking for talented senior systems engineer with the technical expertise and engineering leadership skills to join a team of engineers that designs and develops world-class Sensor and Weapon systems in our Tewksbury and Andover, MA, locations

Job Description:

This role focuses on the development and deployment of Air Defense Operations Center to various partners around the globe. The ideal candidate will have expertise with large scale Command and Control systems, and their computing elements, as well as understanding the Link-16 protocol.

Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the field of engineering or related technical discipline
  • Knowledge of complex command and control and/or engagement management systems involving multiple sensors and effectors
  • Experience working in a small team environment with strong interpersonal skills and teamwork
  • Proven technical analysis data analysis, troubleshooting, identifying root cause and problem solving skills
  • Experience with developing, documenting, and maintaining processes, methods and tools
  • DOD Clearance, or the ability to obtain within 1 year from date of hire
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with system/software level requirements development, documentation and maintenance and/or design of system level software architecture
  • Proven experience with current air defense programs with specific experience in large, complex systems
  • Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of radar and weapon systems
  • Knowledge Command and Control systems
  • Knowledge of Link-16 networking and interfaces
  • Knowledge of HMI design
  • Proven ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex User requirements
  • Experience with Matlab modeling and analysis

Required Education: Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline

This position can be a Salary Grade G08 or Salary Grade G09 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
