The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is looking for research faculty to staff advanced research and development programs in Command and Control Concepts and Operations in Oklahoma City, OK.

The ideal candidate will have twenty or more years experience directly related to the projects, customers, and personnel currently assigned to SEAL's Command, Control, Communications Program Office (C3PO) and will have strong problem solving skills and the ability to develop creative solutions to complex technical and managerial problems. Candidates will have a documented military leadership background in US military Command and Control systems and an established track record in interfacing with current and/or potential customers in the conduct of funded research programs currently assigned to this program office.

Job Duties

  • Assist in the development of new Command and Control business
  • Manage programs lead by C3PO
  • Customer relations

Education & Length of Experience

Senior Research Engineer/Scientist/Technologist/Associate

  • A Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Military Operations, Education, or related field of study and seven (7) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of that degree,
  • A Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Military Operations, Education, or related field of study and nine (9) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of a Bachelors degree, or
  • A Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Military Operations, Education, or related field of study and four (4) years of relevant full time experience after completion of a Bachelor's degree.

Principal Research Engineer/Scientist/Technologist/Associate

  • A Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Military Operations, Education, or related field of study and eleven (11) years of relevant full-time experience, or
  • A Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Military Operations, Education, or related field of study and seven (7) years of relevant full-time experience.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum twenty (20) years of experience in Command and Control systems (i.e. BMC2, C2ISR)
  • One or more years of experience managing programs.
  • Experience presenting research in front of customers and peers.
  • The ideal candidate must demonstrate mastery of Command and Control Concepts and Operations, Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Integration, Multi-Domain Operations, Sensor Integration, Threat Analysis, Data Links and Communication Protocols, Electronic Warfare Applications, Operational Scenario Development, Military Operations and Campaign Modeling and Simulation
  • The candidate must have demonstrated mastery of the projects and research thrusts central to this Program Office to include ISR research, and all aspects of Command and Control systems and concepts development.

Due to our research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens.
