Marcom is Apple's Global Marketing Communications group. We oversee all of Apple's advertising and marketing to ensure the flawless development and execution of world-class communications for print.
This role is the lead and subject matter expert within Apple Marcom, managing Apple's Color Program for print and its future evolution, which includes standardized light booths & displays, multiple color proofing profiles at local prepress vendors, in-region prepress vendors and print suppliers for large-format, reflective, backlit & packaging work.
Key Qualifications
Lead existing color program.
Apply industry knowledge of ISO 12647, 15339 and GRACoL2013 color methodology.
Partner with and manage existing Color Management Technical Consultant.
Track, manage and drive all Color Program efforts.
Identify industry trends, equipment and processes that can further Apple's Color Management Program for print.
Manage Marcom's budget for all Color Management.
Responsible for R&D, testing and rollout of a new internal Soft Proofing program that dovetails into our existing internal Color Program.
Devise & manage creation & dissemination of test forms in multiple color profiles.
Monitor monthly/quarterly vendor/supplier submissions for continued Color Management Program evaluation and qualification.
Onboard and qualify new suppliers as needed.
Manage creation, testing, and qualification of new color profiles as needed, for all print methods, existing and new.
Synthesize technical information from multiple parties, and assess applicability to Apple's needs.
Identify hardware and software solutions to support and migrate color management to the next level.
Understand, evaluate, and manage stakeholder buy-in regarding the impact of solutions put forth to all teams impacted to align for process changes.
Be comfortable Educating and Communicating changes/evolution of the program to internal teams, prepress vendors, and print suppliers.
Author & update technical documentation for internal teams, prepress vendors, and print suppliers as needed.
Advise/report updates to Marcom leadership regularly.
Education & Experience
Bachelors Degree preferred
