Cluster Hiring in Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics

The Department of Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics (MEM) at Drexel University welcomes candidates to apply for three available assistant professor, tenure-track positions as part of an exciting College of Engineering Cluster Hiring Initiative in the strategic areas of Energy and Sustainability and Smart, Integrated Cities (reference link1). The department is seeking candidates across all areas of Mechanical Engineering including (a) design, solid mechanics, and manufacturing; (b) control and robotics; and (c) thermal, fluid sciences whose research addresses and contributes to these cluster areas. The department is especially interested in candidates whose research applies machine learning to address these or other cross cutting applications within Mechanical Engineering. Candidates must have earned a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related field by the beginning of the employment (9/1/2022). We seek candidates who will establish a dynamic, collaborative, and interdepartmental research program.
