everyday. The Fraud Engineering team performs continuous analysis and
designs and provides internal tools to help ensure that our users remain in
control of their data, even when their credentials leave their control. We are
looking for people who can envision themselves in the bad guys' seat, while
feeling proud and rewarded whenever fraudsters are pushed out of business
and Apple users are safe
In the Fraud Engineering, Algorithms and Risk group, the Red Teamʼs purpose is
to conduct analysis, reverse engineer malicious software and systems, and
design and implement fraud prevention mechanisms and tools. Weʼre hiring a
seasoned security software engineer to take on these features that will help
protect all our customers, no matter how they access our services. The role
spans the breadth of the Apple ecosystem, from the iPhone SW to web
implementation to back-end servers. The role requires candidates with a strong
background and interest in information, product and system security, a rich
experience in SW development and technologies, and who are used to working
both autonomously and in close cross-functional collaboration. The ideal
candidate will also understand the odds of implementation robustness and
security, and will relish the satisfaction of improving the lives of millions with
every commit. He or she will have the opportunity to drive change at multiple
levels of the organization and in procedures and protocols as well as technical

Key Qualifications

  • Experience with web services programming (e.g. Java, Python, Node.js)
  • Experience with SW programming and iOS development (e.g. C++, Objective-
  • C, Swift...)
  • Knowledge of security and cryptographic concepts (PKI...)
  • Experience with protection of software IPs
  • Experience in analysis of big data sets
  • Ability to quickly pick up, understand, and communicate complex concepts
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong desire to work with both technical
  • and non-technical audiences


As a Red team engineer in the Fraud Engineering, Algorithms and Risk group,
youʼll have the opportunity to design and implement fraud prevention
mechanisms across the Apple services ecosystem, ranging from end-user
devices to servers manipulating big data sets. You will work with developers,
data analysts and security engineers to ensure that new devices, software and
features in our services, provide the safest experience to our customers

Education & Experience

Master in Computer Science/Information Security or equivalent work
