The cinema equipment industry operates very differently than other subsegments of the professional audio/video industry. The QSC Cinema Products catalog is extensive and our distribution channel requires constant communication regarding both existing and new products. While many of the products are unique to Cinema, we also share many of the same products as our Systems business unit, most notably the Q-SYS Ecosystem. But because of the idiosyncrasies of the cinema industry, even these common products require very different applications, system designs, and installation practices. QSC Cinema requires a dedicated, focused effort toward Training that is distinct from Training as applied in our other business units.

The Training Manager works under the supervision and direction of the Director, Global Cinema Marketing, but operates autonomously to develop and deliver an innovative training curriculum for QSC Cinema products.

Training Manager will also participate in remote and virtual training to assist with regional training needs.

* Work with key stakeholders to establish goals and clear priorities for Cinema Training
* Develop a training roadmap and milestone plan based on priorities
* Drive education agenda jointly developed with Director, Global Cinema Marketing and Sr. Vice President, Cinema Business Unit
* Work autonomously with product development team and training staff to write new training curriculum to support Dealer understanding of QSC Cinema products
* Maintain sustaining efforts on existing training materials (i.e. training syllabi, student textbook) to reflect the constant evolution QSC Cinema products
* Conduct full classroom trainings for authorized QSC Cinema products dealers and end-customers
* Grading exams from online training courses, providing feedback to learners
* Appear on-camera in QSC's award-winning Q-SYS online training video series
* Oversee video production process for creating training videos
* Deliver "Train-the-Trainer" events to certify our internal staff and distribution partners to teach QSC Cinema training
* Participates in discovery meetings and brainstorming sessions
* Acts within scope of QSC Mission Statement as well as meets all of the QSC Marketing Team objectives and policies to accomplish assigned goals
* Perform other duties as assigned

Travel: Up to 30%; Must have a valid US Passport and be able to travel internationally

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in audio, DSP, engineering and/or electronics
* High level communication skills to synthesize complex product concepts from many different knowledge sources and subject matter experts into simple, consumable training materials
* Experience in curriculum development and/or writing technical copy in an education setting
* Some familiarity with audio, cinema industry, and cinema products a definite plus
* High level of competence with Microsoft PowerPoint, and moderate experience/familiarity with the Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Premiere, After Effects, InDesign & Photoshop (primarily for training collateral maintenance)
* Some knowledge of Learning Management Systems (such as Moodle) a definite plus
* High level of poise and composure in delivering training on-camera and to live classes
* Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills necessary
* Needs to have well-developed oral and written communication skills
* Needs solid time management skills
