Key Qualifications

  • Excellent knowledge on one or multiple cellular technologies: GSM/UMTS, HSPA, HSPA+, TD-SCDMA, LTE, 5G NR etc.
  • Detailed knowledge of Cellular RAN/CN network or UE protocol SW architecture
  • Working knowledge of NodeB and RAN or one of its emulators (Keysight, R&S, Anritsu, Anite etc)'s architecture and their implementations
  • Excellent and hands-on (5+) software SDLC skills including design, programming (C, C++, Python and other scripting) and debugging
  • Strong experience in cellular protocol stack host test or simulation environment development is key.
  • Experience in test case (e.g. TTCN) scripting and regression test suites debugging conforming to relevant ETSI/3GPP protocol technical specifications is a big plus
  • Hands on knowledge with standard software tool development experience such as Swift/vxWidget/QT is a plus
  • Highly motivated and self-directed, fast learner, a good team player

Description

This role requires critical expertise in multiple layers in cellular protocols, experience with UE and/or NW protocols development for various 3GPP technologies is essential. The candidate must demonstrate solid understanding of relevant protocol procedures and network interactions.

The duties of this position will include design, develop, and maintain cellular protocol device side host test and network simulation environment.

Education & Experience

Bachelor or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent degree

Additional Requirements

  • 5+years of experience in one or more of following for cellular protocol stack relevant features on commercial UE or Cellular RAN/CORE protocol test systems are essential: protocol feature development, cellular infrastructure simulations, test specification, test case implementation and analysis.
