Apple's Cellular Team is looking for an inventive, upbeat individual to join the team developing next generation products at Apple. As a Cellular Hardware Engineering Program Specialist (EPS), you will work in a fast-paced environment with program managers and technical leads and be responsible for tracking hardware, allocations collection, and working with multi-functional teams and suppliers.

You will assist our Cellular Hardware team with management and distribution of materials, handling inventory management including tracking materials and maintaining on-site inventory, supporting the shipping and receiving of material between multiple geographic locations and manage hardware allocation collection with multiple teams. You will also be involved in implementing processes to streamline material allocation collection and tracking between multiple cellular engineering teams.

The preferred candidate is inventive, can lead through ambiguity with good judgment, and is self-motivated to take on initiatives and drive them to closure with little guidance. You will be working in a multifaceted engineering environment with a startup mentality, and should possess sophisticated multi-tasking skills, an ability to react to and handle unexpected critical issues and be able to succinctly articulate challenges and solutions.

Key Qualifications

  • BS degree or 2+ years of related experience. Individuals with more experience can take on additional responsibilities.
  • Understanding of basic BOM components for hardware products.
  • Experience managing, organizing, and maintaining data using MS Excel or Numbers.
  • Able to handle hardware inventory and tracking packages.
  • Organized, detail oriented and able to work independently.
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
  • Experience presenting using Keynote or MS PowerPoint.
  • Able to drive issues to closure in a time-sensitive environment and inspire change as necessary.
  • Self-motivated to work through problems independently and quickly develop solutions with minimal mentorship.
  • Ability to multitask and work on several projects simultaneously.
  • Holds a valid driver's license.
  • Able to lift 20 lbs.

Description
Develop and lead HW allocation plans using spreadsheets and collaborating with several cross functional teams.
Report on allocation status including requests, approvals, distributions, and material outstanding.
Track and disposition materials from CMs to Apple Internal Engineering teams through use of spreadsheets.
Work closely with external domestic and international Contract Manufactures (CMs) on HW delivery schedules.
Establish and manage internal inventory management location.
Report on material progress and investigate material blocker issues
Anticipate potential issues that may arise and communicate to relevant teams to jump-start mitigation path.
Present program status to management.
Build and handle BOMs (Bill of Materials), part numbers, and archive related user documentation.

Education & Experience

BS Degree, Engineering or technical subject area is preferred
