Job Description
Client Computing Group (CCG) is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the team and manage its development, integration and validation lab in Santa Clara, CA. This role will be directly responsible for expanding and managing the Chrome and Linux labs in SC and will also serve as the single point of contact for all CCG labs in SC to drive compliance and consistency and interface with CCG and site lab councils.This person is responsible for creating and maintaining a lab environment that maximizes engineering productivity and is compliant to Corporate Lab standards: Ensures physical lab infrastructure (networking, power, etc.) supports in-person and remote development and validation of CCG products. Sets up and maintains test platforms physically in the labs, and on-line via the remote software solution (OneCloud). Provides system administrative support for CCG teams and prototype systems on the remote software solution (OneCloud). Provides remote and in-person support as needed - providing equipment and tools, setting up and monitoring platforms, etc. Partners with global CCG lab teams to enable and enhance platform development, validation and automation for CCG maintained hardware platforms. Ensures the lab is compliant to Corporate directives - Safety, Training, PPHW tracking, IT Info Security, etc. Ensures networks and systems adhere to Corp Info Security standards for patching, virus scanning, access point registration, etc. Manages CCG lab access and badge reader entitlements in Santa Clara. Monitor lab usage; address inefficiencies; seek growth options as needed. Manages Pre-Production Hardware (PPHW) inventory records for CCG lab in Santa Clara. Manages Capital forecasting, purchases, and inventory for CCG lab in Santa Clara. Provides shipping and logistics support for CCG lab in Santa Clara. Partners with broader CCG Lab Operations community, Customer Services, IT, etc. to achieve business objectives, and to ensure alignment with broader Intel and CCG initiatives.The successful candidate should exhibit behavioral traits that indicate: Strong operational management skills including management of budgets, resourcing, and schedules. Able to achieve objectives with a matrix managed team of resources. Effectively manage and influence various levels of stakeholders. Continuously learns from execution and drives process improvements across functions and groups. Be persistent to remove hurdles; be creative to solve problems (including jumping in as needed); be adaptive to the dynamics. Ability to work across geos/time zones as necessary. Ability to develop deep understanding of business processes and technical capabilities of solutions. Able to deal with ambiguity and shifting priorities.


Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar degree with 6+ years of experience or equivalent 4+ years of experience working with labs and lab users is a mustPreferred Qualifications: Experience with IT, networking, systems administration, etc. is highly desirable Understanding of Intel Architecture and Client products is a plus
