Apple's Internet Software & Services (IS&S) team is seeking an experienced, thoughtful and entrepreneurial individual to lay the foundation and forge new Apple Music partnerships throughout the music industry.

You will work closely with the Apple Music team and the broader IS&S organization to define new business models, develop partnership opportunities, establish deal frameworks and terms for new initiatives, and help to drive key priorities in emerging businesses.

The role requires a highly motivated and experienced team player with great attention to detail who is able to work with multiple internal teams to meet hard deadlines. The candidate needs to be a self-starter and able to manage relationships with both internal stakeholders and key partners in the music industry.

Key Qualifications

  • 10 years of relevant music industry work experience, forging commercial partnerships with labels, artists and their representatives
  • Understanding of common internet and mobile application technologies
  • Deep and broad relationships within the music industry
  • Research, size, and prioritize recommendations of new business and partnership opportunities
  • Proven track record of successful negotiation with both 3rd parties and cross-functionally within a large business structure
  • Passion, energy and drive to develop and grow multi-million dollar business programs globally
  • Exceptional business development and partnership management track record
  • Strong command of business and financial modeling
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management capability with exceptional attention to detail

Description

Define business model for select new initiatives
Manage research projects to identify the priority partnership opportunities
Help to build business models and programs to achieve business goals
Work with business management teams to negotiate terms with rightsholders that enable the partnerships
Focal point of communication between leaders of lines of business, various internal stakeholders and leaders of different channels to ensure priorities are being met
Set aggressive goals, yet realistic expectations
Work with all stakeholders to create and communicate forecasts (and reforecasts)
Ensure proper internal stakeholders participate in each program
Actively seek internal feedback on a regular basis about performance and potential improvements for the initiatives

Education & Experience

BA/BS degree required; MBA or equivalent degree preferred.
