The professionals at the National Security Agency (NSA) have one common goal: to protect our nation. The mission requires a strong offense and a steadfast defense. The offense collects, processes and disseminates intelligence information derived from foreign signals for intelligence and counterintelligence purposes. The defense prevents adversaries from gaining access to sensitive classified national security information.

Budget Analysts at NSA provide sound and accountable financial management, information, and decision-making support to enable NSA to be fully responsive to external oversight requirements as well as providing support and guidance internally. They ensure optimization of Agency resources through corporate oversight of all funds and manpower associated with NSA, direction of NSA's budget and program build process and execution process, and corporate oversight for all reimbursable Support Agreements executed by NSA.

As a Budget Analyst at the NSA, you will be instrumental in building and managing resources for multiple years and producing financial reports. Budget Analysts cover a variety of responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

- Planning, programming, budgeting and execution process, the congressional budgetary processes, and DoD/IC - specific budget practices
- Analyzing financial, performance, and requirements data for business decision making
- Using financial principles to identify trends in data
- Justifying the resources (manpower and funding) to support the strategic plans of the President, DoD, Intelligence Community, and the NSA
- Advising NSA/CSS elements in the preparation, negotiation, coordination, approval, and termination of all reimbursable support agreements.
- Managing all aspects of Cyber tenant requirements and reimbursement activities to ensure proper execution of funds within appropriate timeframe as indicated on incoming funding orders
- Managing civilian and military manpower resources to reflect current and future requirements

Individuals selected for this position are required to obtain DoD Financial Management (DoDFM) - Level II certification within 24 months.
