The Accelerated Computing Systems and Graphics Group's High Performance Computing Systems Integration Team is looking for someone to join us. Our solutions are being used today to solve some of the world's most challenging scientific problems such as bio-medical research (Covid), climate research, genome analysis, renewable energy - all which require the world's fastest supercomputers to tackle. Intel needs your help to deliver the next generation in HPC systems and technology.

We have a need for a Software Development Engineer to help write and support our Board Management Controller software and our Unified Control System software. A large part of your responsibilities will be to work with the OpenBMC team and our customers to design and develop management software that will allow us to deliver an Exascale system to our customers.

We will be working with new technologies for our latest project, and a large part of your opportunity will be to enable the debug of leading edge integration issues. You will need to be self-directed, curious, and have a keen desire to learn.


  • Design and develop Board Management Controller software

  • Support, validate, and debug Unified Controlled System software.

  • Create test and debug content to validate system-level integration as well as cross-cut features

  • Participate in Power-Ons, Volume Validation and Triage/Debug Tiger Teams, and interacting with 3rd party and end customers

Minimum Qualifications:

BS/MS in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant education and/or experience.

  • 4+ years of experience working with Linux

  • 4+ years of pre-silicon or post-silicon or relevant validation experience.

  • 4+ years of system debug skills.

  • 4+ years of experience coding in C, C++, Python, or other coding language.

Preferred Qualifications (any one or more will help the candidate)

  • Experience with High Performance Computing and/or cluster level debug

  • Understands Intel architecture and micro-architecture

  • Hands-on lab experience with JTAG-based hardware debug tools

  • Experience with documenting plans, coding, and storing artifacts in a source-controlled environment
