Job Summary:
The position of Benefits Manager at Raytheon Missile Defense (RMD) position will be responsible for supporting the execution of benefits programs to include health, dental, vision, retirement and other wellness and life resource programs within RMD. This role will serve as the lead Benefits subject matter expert within RMD and will serve as the business unit representative for Benefits to the RTX Corp Benefits and Global People Services teams to ensure alignment and consistent program execution, provide advice and counsel on business-specific requirements, and participate in strategic enterprise program, process, policy, governance and design changes. The Benefits Manager will act as an employee advocate and escalate concerns as appropriate to Enterprise Total Rewards, Global People Services, External Vendors, etc. This position requires strong influencing, communication and interpersonal skills, displaying the ability to connect and build relationships with RMD Leadership, HR and peers across Raytheon Technologies.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Collaborate with RTX Corp Benefits on design strategy impact to RMD. Implement Corporate strategy to meet the unique business needs of RMD.
  • Support the execution of open enrollment, wellness programs, workers compensation, labor negotiations support, and new employee orientation.
  • Provide support to employees and other HR professionals with regard to understanding of benefits programs.
  • Support temporary duty and expatriate assignments with benefits analysis and recommendations; collaborate and ensure alignment with RMD Total Rewards International Compensation and Benefits team on expatriate assignments and in-country benefit requirements.
  • Support new employee orientation and other events such as hiring events serving as the benefits subject matter expert.
  • Serve as the focal point on the execution of benefits related programs and/or issues related to any pay group (executives, exempt, hourly, salaried non-exempt).
  • Support on-going integration and harmonization of benefit efforts as well as maintain a continued focus on process improvements.
  • Maintain an awareness of benefits regulations and trends.
  • Support programs on capture and proposal efforts with needed benefits data and information.
  • Participate in and support benefits surveys to support business unit site analysis and labor negotiations.
  • Provide benefits subject matter expert supporting due diligence and integration processes related to mergers and acquisitions.
  • Lead efforts within BU with regard to open enrollment testing ensuring compliance with benefits programs.
  • Collaborate with other HR experts on internal self-audits, and external audits.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • BS/BA degree from an accredited university or college.
  • 8 years of total progressive experience in benefits and/or Human Resources or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience.

Qualifications We Value:
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist Certification
  • SHRM Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification
  • HR Experience in defense industry.
  • Ability to translate and analyze data into convincing reports and recommendations.
  • Ability to partner and influence.
  • Ability to mentor and train staff.
  • Strong interpersonal, teaming, advocacy, problem solving and presentation skills.
  • Must work well independently with a high level of responsibility and collaborate effectively in matrix environments.
  • Proven ability to build strong, collaborative working relationships with colleagues and internal customers.
  • Demonstrated evidence of detail-orientation, multitasking skills and effective project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
