This position is in the Battery Performance Testing Team and be responsible for electrical testing, mechanical testing, and electro-chemical characterization of Lithium batteries within the test labs. You will also work closely with other teams (i.e. R&D, Applications, and Qualification) to develop and implement any electrical tests to characterize battery performance. The position will cover all facets of the battery testing including development and scheduling of electrical tests, interpretation and communication of test results, data collection and upkeep of the test database, and maintenance and calibration of all test equipment and meters

Key Qualifications

• 8+ Years of Battery Testing Experience
• Experience with testing various battery technologies required
• Ability to interpret battery test results and communicate to team
• Capable of making test choices based on electrochemistry nuances
• Ability to schedule and organize all required and requested tests
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot all testing equipment and tools
• Data management and statistical analysis experience highly desired
• Good communications skills
• Able to function and interact in a multilevel team environment
• Database experience desired

Description
- Develop and implement test protocols to measure and characterize cell properties and electro-chemical performance (at various temperatures) and process flows for the effective implementation of the protocols
- Develop and implementation validation methods to ensure the integrity of the lab data
- Coordinate cell test data collection
- Coordinate the acquisition or in-house design and manufacture of small tools for lab use
- Determine need for and Schedule/Perform routine maintenance of testing equipment
- Collect and analyze test data, write-up reports as necessary
- Maintain cell test database
- Communicate results to engineering team
- Refine/Update test procedures and documents
- Train and mentor technicians in the operation and upkeep of test equipment and tool

Education & Experience

BS+ in Science or Engineering discipline
